The handstand is one of the fundamental skills in gymnastics that every gymnast must become proficient at to really excel in our sport. Handstands are performed on every single event for both women and men during competition.
Stations will be set up to learn handstands, press handstands, cast handstands, handstands on beam, handstand flat backs, etc. Stations will also include strengthening stations to develop the proper muscles and shaping stations to develop the very difficult hollow-body, flat back position necessary to perform a great handstand.
Variations of the handstand are required for all gymnasts in all levels. This clinic will be beneficial to all ability levels, from level 1 to level 10.
*This clinic is a slightly shorter clinic due to the strain that will be put on the gymnasts’ wrists during this clinic*
